Camp I-Wanna-Huck-It: the Ultimate Camp Experience

Camp I-Wanna-Huck-It is a summer camp themed Ultimate tournament that takes 60 miles south of Chicago near Bourbonnais, Illinois. This co-ed hat tournament will give players of all levels of skill, athleticism and experience the opportunity to kick off the summer with a fun weekend of ultimate, goaltimate, other disc related games. And since camp is all about having fun and making new friends, there will also be campfires and awesome parties with great people. Cost: Early entry will be $150 and will run until March 31st, at which point we will charge the regular fee of $175 starting April 1st.
Registration will fully close on Monday, April 21st to give us time to order your proper shirt/short size.

Refunds will only be done until registration closes.

Teams:
Players sign up as individuals, but you can fill out the tracking form here to link to people you got to sign up. The top individuals with the highest numbers will receive baggage of their choice, a reduced rate (refund), and a camp badge! Submit the form as many times as you wish to log your work.

When: Friday, May 11 - Sunday, May 13, 2012
Where: Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See in Manteno, IL and Dynamo Soccer, 10 minutes away in Bourbonnais, IL, just 60 miles south of Chicago.
Who: This is a co-ed event and is open to players ages 18 and older. Players of all levels are welcome, from beginners to elite level players. Use our Facebook event page to track who is attending.
Why: This is going to be the ultimate camp experience. Here’s why you should attend:

  • To play ultimate, goaltimate, and lots of other fun games that ultimate players play.
  • To enjoy parties with music, dancing, bonfires, and more.
  • To have a great time with a fantastic bunch of ultimate players from all over the region.
  • This is an all inclusive event, which will include; Food, Drink (yes, that kind), and Schwag (shorts, shirt, and much more!)

Tournament format:
This is a co-ed hat tournament that includes ultimate, other disc related activities, and even more games that ultimate players love to play. Time will be divided between playing ultimate and participating in other activities such as goaltimate, disc golf, cups, and more.

More fun activities:
Each team will have a theme, to be assigned in advance. Campers are encouraged to come up with costumes, games, camp songs, performances, drinks, and more based around their team themes. Teams will have the chance to strut their stuff in the Saturday night talent show.

Awards:

  • Hat Tournament Champions: For the ultimate tournament portion of the event, teams will be divided into pools for the finals, which will take place on Sunday. There will be prizes for the winners of each pool.
  • Spirit Champions: A spirit award will be presented to the team shows the most spirit both on and off the fields.
  • Ultimate Campers: One team will be awarded the title of Ultimate Campers. Teams earns points in the “Ultimate Camper” category through a combination of tournament play, participation in other games and activities, and spirit. Earn badges in various activities to help your team compete for the title of Ultimate Campers!

Parties:
Camp is all about having fun, hanging out with friends, and making new friends. Parties and campfires will take place at Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See on Friday and Saturday nights. Beer and soft drinks will be provided. (Note, you must be 21 or older to drink. Bring an ID.)

Accommodations:
Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See offers rustic cabin accommodations for up to 240 people. Additional space is available for tent camping (bring your own tent). Players can indicate whether they prefer cabin or tent camping. Cabin space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cabins will be co-ed unless campers indicate a preference for single-sex accommodations.

Food:
Meals will be provided including dinner on Friday and Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. We will also be providing snacks for the entirety of the event.
